Research
Dr. Gordon’s research and extension programs focus on the biology, behavior, and control of structural pests, including cockroaches, bed bugs, and termites, with a focus on the impacts of indoor arthropod pests on human health. Dr. Gordon’s program is centered in purpose-driven research to solve stakeholder problems related to urban pest management, targeting data-based and pioneering solutions in collaboration with researchers and pest management professionals throughout the state of Florida and beyond to its global (or national if that’s more accurate/realistic) network.
Dr. Gordon is also an instructor for General Household Pest (GHP) and Wood-Destroying Organisms (WDO) courses at Pest Management University, a UF/IFAS Extension program (https://pestmanagementuniversity.org/about-us/)
