Research
Dr. Gordon’s research and extension programs focus on the biology, behavior, and control of structural pests, including cockroaches, bed bugs, and termites, with a focus on the impacts of indoor arthropod pests on human health. Dr. Gordon’s program is centered in purpose-driven research to solve stakeholder problems related to urban pest management, targeting data-based and pioneering solutions in collaboration with researchers and pest management professionals throughout the state of Florida and beyond to its global network.
Dr. Gordon is also an instructor for General Household Pest (GHP) and Wood-Destroying Organisms (WDO) courses at Pest Management University, a UF/IFAS Extension program (https://pestmanagementuniversity.org/about-us/)
