Area of Speciality

Dr. Hochmair’s teaching responsibilities include statewide teaching, using distance education platforms, of two Geomatics undergraduate courses (Measurement Science and Geodesy and Geodetic Positioning Methods) and three interdisciplinary classes at the graduate level (Geographic Information Systems Analysis, Digital Mapping, and GIS Programming). He serves as an advisor to undergraduate and graduate students and engages in activities of the surveying and engineering societies, GIS user groups, and local four-year colleges in Southeast Florida to promote the UF Geomatics program.
