2021 UF Geomatics UAS Mapping Practicum recap

The annual 10-day, in-person SUR4940C/SUR6940C UAS Mapping Practicum course was a success yet again this year.

As is the custom, project applications change from year to year. Students visited two field sites in the first two weeks of May. They surveyed the UF Cultural Plaza in Gainesville using a variety of optical and lidar sensors and conducted a temporal change analysis using UAS lidar on Seahorse Key near Cedar Key, Florida. The Seahorse Key project incorporated data from the 2018 SUR4940C/SUR6940C Practicum for this comparison.

Thank you to all involved who made this course such a success in 2021! We’re already looking forward to next year!
