**Position can be located in either New Haven, CT or Orlando, FL**
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith’s mission by:
* Coordinating the collection of transportation project data to support traffic and toll revenue studies
* Performing necessary traffic and toll revenue project research
* Conducting travel surveys and analyzing travel characteristics for the planned transportation facilities
* Running travel demand models to estimate future traffic and toll revenue for toll road studies
* Analyzing and interpreting results of transportation models and statistical analysis
* Conducting risk assessment and risk analysis
* Independently planning, scheduling, conducting, or coordinating detailed phases of work for toll projects
* Managing tasks on large toll studies or managing phases of small toll studies
* Assisting in the development of planning strategy and recommendations
* Providing planning expertise to project teams
* Preparing associated project correspondence
* Initiating and performing assigned project administration duties (monitoring budget and
schedule, preparing correspondence, and participating in general office duties)
A successful CDM Smith candidate will have: B.A./B.S. in arts, planning, engineering, or science One to 3 years’ previous experience.
A.I.C.P. Certification, Certification in a related field, and/or Master’s degree in a related field (where Certification is not applicable) is desired.
Additional experience desired:
•Experience with traffic and toll revenue studies
•Experience with travel demand models using software tools such as Cube/voyager, TP+, and TransCad;
•Experience with conducting and analyzing travel characteristics for the planned transportation facilities, including travel surveys, traffic counts, and travel time and delay studies;
•Experience with micro-simulation models such as VISSIM
•Experience with analyzing and interpreting results of transportation models, geographic and statistical analysis using VBA, MS Access, GIS and SPSS;
•Experience with tracking, researching and analyzing local, regional, and national socio-economic and macro-economic parameters and forecasts;
•Experience conducting risk assessment and risk analysis using Monte Carlo Simulation
•Good writing and communication skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
